So I'm watching the game this morning, getting thoroughly disgusted with how bad the offense is looking that I turn the TV set off for a while. And then in the fourth quarter Shaun Hill suddenly gets it together, throwing that TD pass to Bruce (for his 1000th career reception..very cool) and then that terrible looking throw that somehow turned into the game winner. Hill might not be a great looking QB, but he got it together enough to beat the Rams. Granted, they do suck but a win is a win.
They have to get Gore healthy by next Sunday if they have any chance of beating the 'Skins. 7-9 sounds much better than 6-10. *g*

Re: What a Finish
Sun, December 21, 2008 - 7:56 PMI'm still trippin' on how fast this season went. I guess it's because I'm waiting to see what the 'Dorks' next move is next season (keeping Singletary or not).
I was hoping for more out of this season (as we all were), there was certainly some drama built up for the next. -

Any hope I had for this season was lost when Nolan got rehired. Thank god he's gone. I hear he's now blaming Smith for the 49ers letting Antonio Bryant go after 2006. He must really dislike Smith.
If the 'Dorks' (Jed or his parents) have any brains (debatable I realize), they'll rehire Singletary for 2 years. Hey if they suck next year, so be it but I think Singletary deserves credit for turning around the runaway train wreck Nolan created. -

Mon, December 22, 2008 - 12:27 AMPersonally, I think Nolan had the right parts - it's only that he didn't know how to put it together. (In which, Singletary now has). -

Mon, December 22, 2008 - 8:56 AMWho do you think the offensive coordinator will be next year? As much as I would love some continuity, I doubt we will have it...
